Powders of functional materials with tri-axial magnetic anisotropy can be bi-axially aligned under modulated rotating fields (MRFs) in principle. Magnetic alignment is a material production process without highly oriented templates and room temperature process. However, the case MRF, rotation field required for generation which looks inappropriate continuous along linear direction motion apparently. In this article, development details about equipment drive type MRF system are described. First topic principle design permanent magnet array generate MRF. Second bi-axial practical rare-earth-based cuprate superconductors using equipment. Final current status on arrays to higher flux densities.
